One of our favorite things to do outside of the office is getting all our friends together and head over to Big Beach for a day of fun in the sun. But you have to do it right. We recommend getting to Big Beach early to secure both a good parking spot and beach spot. After all, you don’t want to have to lug your supplies too far. We like to bring a bunch of tapestries and find a semi-shaded spot to spread out. Once you get to Big Beach there won’t be any stores nearby, so be sure to pack whatever food and drinks you want for the day. We like to stop at the Foodland in Kihei, you can get poke bowls for under $10! Some other favorite items to stock up on are some Maui Onion Chips, Coconut Chips, fresh fruit (mangos are our favorite), and some Maui Brewing Co beers (we recommend Sunshine Girl). Not a big brew fan? Big Island Organics Hawaiian Gingerade is also very refreshing on a hot beach day. Side note: if you are hungry at the end of your beach day, Maui Brewing Co is located in Kihei and has a great outdoor patio — perfect for watching the sunset. Once you have your libations, chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, and beach games packed in your Beach Cars Co rental car, you are ready to kick back, relax, and soak up some sun.
